“We Dream, you Play!”
Dreambound Studio is an independent game studio based in Leipzig, founded by Neo Schubert, Julian Thesing and Niklas Möller. Together with our team of eight, we develop games that tell compelling stories, feel great to play and stay with you long after you’ve finished. Narrative depth meets exciting gameplay mechanics and a distinctive visual style – all with the aim of sharing our games with players around the world.
Dreambound Studio was founded in November 2025 by Neo Schubert, Julian Thesing and Niklas Möller. Together with our team of eight, we’ve joined forces to do what we’re really keen on: video games.
We mostly got to know each other whilst we were at university. Neo, Julian, Konrad, Lennard and Niklas were on the same degree course; Neo knew Anna and Zel from his time as a student representative; and Ari joined us through her friendship with Zel. That’s how our team gradually grew.
We spent 2024 and 2025 trying out various ideas, developing projects and finding out which team members worked best together. In November 2025, the time had finally come: Dreambound Studio was officially founded.
Since March 2026, we have been part of the R42 Game Accelerator 2026. There, we receive financial support from the Saxony Economic Development Agency and, through R42, gain access to workshops, expertise and a co-working space.
In May 2025 and 2026, we took part in the Long Night of Computer Games at HTWK Leipzig. There, visitors were able to try out our game for themselves for the first time, which was still running under the working title ‘Project: Traum’ at the time. By 2026, we were already presenting it under its current name, ‘Almos – A Dream Painter’s Tale’.
As part of our accelerator programme, we also had the opportunity to exhibit at CAGGTUS 2026. There, we were not only able to showcase our game to a wider audience, but also gain our first experience of trade fair appearances, community feedback and everything that goes with it.
Recent
In August 2026, Dreambound Studio will be exhibiting at gamescom 2026 for the first time. There, we will be presenting *Almos – A Dream Painter’s Tale* both as part of Insomnia Development’s Indie Castle and at the Saxony joint stand organised by the Saxony Economic Development Agency.
With our first appearance at gamescom, we aim to forge further contacts within the games industry, showcase our game to an international audience and establish new partnerships.
Dreambound Studio is also currently looking for a suitable publisher.
